Aughnagarron N.S. Enrolment 2024

Parish Council Meeting
A Parish Council meeting will be held in St. Bernard’s Church, Abbeylara on Friday night 22nd March after the 7.30pm Mass. The Nomination papers to form a new Parish Council will be counted at this meeting. All current members please attend. We are also seeking Readers, Eucharistic Ministers, Alter Society, and Collectors etc. to come forward to help out in our Churches over the Easter period and going forward throughout the year. Anyone else involved please attend. Your support is urgently needed.

Alzheimer Café: The Longford Alzheimer Cafe will return after their Winter break on Wednesday 28th February in their office on Earl Street, Longford, opposite Mollaghan’s Furniture Store, at 7.00pm. Guest speaker on the night is Mary Mc Keon, Dietitian and her topic is ‘Nutrition and Dementia ‘ The Café will then run on the last Wednesday of every month, with a different speaker and topic each month. The Alzheimer Café will provide a safe, warm and welcoming space for people with dementia, their family and friends, along with social and health care professionals to meet and exchange ideas and learnings. Abbeylara Parish Council: Following on from our meeting on Monday night 22nd January 2024, we are forming a new Parish Council.
We would like parishioners to nominate new members to represent all areas of the Parish.
Our Parish is important to us all and creates community spirit.
Please show your interest and support in this matter by completing a Nomination Form which is available in both churches and return to the church by 18th February 2024.
