For the Third Sunday of Easter, May 4, 2025, the Church prays for unity, the guidance of the Holy Spirit, the enthusiasm of the early disciples, and for the needs of the poor, migrants, and our common home. The collect prayer asks that God’s people may always exult, rejoicing in their adoption and looking forward to the resurrection.

Third Sunday of Easter: May your people exult for ever, O God, in renewed youthfulness of spirit, so that, rejoicing now in the restored glory of our adoption, we may look forward in confident hope to the rejoicing of the day of resurrection. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, God, for ever and ever.

Prayer for peace in the world

Oh Lord God almighty, may there be peace in celestial regions. May there be peace on earth. May the waters be appeasing. May herbs be wholesome, and may trees and plants bring peace to all. Amen.
