The Presentation of the Lord: Candlemas Day is celebrated on Thursday 2nd Feb. Please leave your candles for Church and home use in either Church. Blessing of candles will take place at Masses on Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday.

St. Blaise: – Is celebrated on Friday, 3rd Feb. Throats will be blessed at Masses on Friday. Saturday and Sunday.

Death: Your prayers are requested for the happy repose of the soul of Johnny Mulligan, Clooneen, Granard, died Wednesday 25th January. May he rest in peace.

First Friday: Friday 3rd February is the First Friday. The sick and housebound will be attended as usual.

Abbeylara Handball Club: Congratulations to Anna Reilly who was recently honoured with the Leinster Hall of Fame Award at the Leinster Handball Convention on the 8th of January. Thank you Anna for all your work and dedication to handball over the years.

Anniversary: Patrick Murphy, Trumra. 100 anniversary Mass took place on Tuesday 24th January 2023 in Carra. Born on 24th Jan. 1900. Thanks to those who attended this Mass.

Abbeylara Parish Senior Citizens – Easter Dinner will be held in the Parish Centre on Palm Sunday 2nd April 2023. Their annual Church collection will take place at all Masses in the parish on the weekend of 4th and 5th February 2023. Please give generously.
